This large heart design depicts a woman wearing an approximation of the Maru-mage hairstyle, popular among Japanese married women during the Edo Period (1603-1868). She holds a fan to her chest and a parasol behind her, and she is flanked by a bamboo stalk and two butterflies.

We think this is an imitation of a Qianlong coin.

Our theory is that this elegant fish design from Paris, France was originally part of a series of hubs because its titled "AQUARIUM" on the side.
