NOTE: We had to make a copy of the original hub, and by the nature of the reproduction process, the front lip of the mushroom does not have as much texture as the original hub. This is an artifact of the process and is not considered a defect. NOTE: Because of the front lip of the mushroom, your metal may stick in the die more than others. Always leave a small lip around the impression to assist when removing your metal. For best results, lightly oil the impression die to make removing your metal easier.

The mythic story of Medusa has permeated Western culture for centuries. Whether she is a villain to an epic hero or a symbol of feminine rage, her visage fills many with emotion. Her story truly began as an apotropaic symbol, a symbol meant to protect against and turn away evil. This symbol was eventually incorporated into ancient Greek religion and altered by poets as the years went on.

This graceful fairy impression die is from Janvier Gruson, made in 19th century Paris, France. It is one of only a few fairies that have been offered from the French collection. Design: 1-3/16" diameter
