Impression Dies
This is our one-stop shop for all of our Impression Dies!
Many of these are original, hand-carved hubs we're using to make your impression dies, and they may break. If a hub breaks, it will no longer be available.
Impression Dies are used to create a fully three dimensional piece of jewelry. These dies will give you amazing detail using flat sheet or small ingots of metal. They are best used with urethane, paper, or an aluminum force that pushes the sheet into the die. Please check out the videos on our YouTube channel to learn all about impression dies! Patania Medium Oval Concho Die
SP-CO689
PRE-ORDER - Your die will have to be made. Please allow two weeks for us to make and ship. I am not going to take the old off these tools. What I mean by that is we aren't going to polish away 100 years of work. If you want your die to be shinny you can polish away the story. These are handmade tools, forged over 100 years ago by hand over an anvil by Frank Patania. If you are not aware of who made these tools just Google him. The best analogy I can come up with is the Tiffany of southwest jewelry. He started the Thunderbird shop in Santa Fe he became world famous for his silver designs. Your die will have his tool marks in it. The tool marks are what makes these special they aren't perfect. When we make dies using antique tools we don't remove the handmade part.
