Among our historic jewelry tool and die collections is Beaucraft, a silver jewelry company established in 1947 by Luigi Russo and Ray Sacciccio that is still owned and operated by the Russo family to this day. It was one of many Italian-owned jewelry companies that sprouted and bloomed during the early to middle 20th century in Providence, Rhode Island.
Beaucraft has never gone out of style. It specializes in three-dimensional silver pendants, earrings, and collectible charms for bracelets. The sleek and sweet jewelry that Russo and Sacciccio perfected lasted through the decades, favored as gifts, souvenirs, and collector items. Vintage charm collectors today are still finding lost pieces from throughout the middle to late 20th century.
The Beaucraft style was constant even as the company followed trends like mid-century modern, flower power, friendship jewelry, birthstone jewelry, and others. Though Beaucraft focuses on small charms perfect for gift-giving these days, our collection of Beaucraft hubs showcases a history of experimentation. We’ve found hubs for making belt buckles, brooches, hair accessories, lockets, rings, and three-dimensional trinkets.
We encourage jewelers to put these vintage designs back into circulation. While Beaucraft’s style has certainly stood the test of the modern age, jewelers can use our Beaucraft impression dies to breathe new life into these classics.
