What is difference between the medium & standard presses?

What is the difference between the 20 ton Medium press and 20 ton Standard Jewelry Press, no Jack?
The size of the overall press
Medium press: 35 pounds  Outer dimensions 18.5 inches High x 11 inches wide x 5.75 inches deep.
Standard press: 65 pounds Outer dimensions: 23 inches High x 19 inches wide x 10 inches deep.
The size of the platens
Medium press - Upper platen is built into the frame.                       Upper platen is 5 in long x 5.5 in deep.                        Lower platen is 5 in long x 5.5 in wide x 1 inch thick.
Standard Press - Upper platen is aluminum, magnetic and removable.                         Upper platen is 6 inches wide x 5 in deep                         Lower Platen is 8 inches wide x 6 inches deep x 1 inch thick  Note: the Standard press can be upgraded to include 8 inch x 8 inch upper and lower platens for larger work. Available on our website.
The space between platens
Medium press:
  • 4.75 in between platens
Standard press:
  • Approx. 7 inches if you use a standard height jack
  • 9 inches if you use a low profile jack. The low profile jack allows for more space to do deep-draw work.
Accessories
Both presses will accept the Bracelet former frame and kit, bracelet pancake dies and contained urethane with pusher.
