This hand-carved medallion depicts the ancient Greek goddess Athena with her battle helm, shield, and spear. She seems to walk on clouds. Behind her is an olive tree, one of her sacred symbols, with stone settings. This design comes from Marcellet in Paris, France and seems to have been part of a collection of divine depictions.

This hub depicts a version of the "man in the moon," here designed as a smiling bearded man with a sharp nose and patterned sleeping cap. This die makes excellent pendants, brooches, ornaments, and more. From Rumart in Providence, Rhode Island. Design: 1-1/4" x 13/16"
