Our new bracelet former design fits all our bracelet, ring, and earring formers, but now works for bangles, too!
    • Magnets embedded in the wide end of the tapered columns secure the assembly to the upper platen of your press (make sure the columns are centered in the press front-to-back and side-to-side, and that the slots in the narrow ends are parallel to each other).
    • Magnets in the narrow ends of the columns secure the beam. Make sure the beam is inserted with the magnet facing DOWN, and that it’s pushed to the outer edge of the slots in both columns for security and safety.
    • The beam has a magnet set at the center which holds the formers onto the frame.

To make a cuff, start with a flat bracelet blank, and form as with the old-style frame.

To make a bangle, solder a blank (long enough to slide over your hand) into a ring. Remove the beam from the two columns, slide the soldered ring onto the beam and former, and place the beam back into the columns. Double check that the columns are still centered in all directions and the beam aligns with the outer edge of the slots in both columns.

Center the former, place a puck of urethane on your lower platen centered beneath the frame, and form your bangle/cuff as desired. To remove the bangle, remove the beam and slide the bracelet off the beam.

NOTE: This former frame is treated with Boeshield T-9 to resist rust, but it is made of raw steel, so rusting is possible, especially if you live in a humid, warm environment. If your former does develop rust, you can easily remove it with steel wool, a sanding sponge, or sandpaper. Simply abrade the surface to remove the surface rust, and then apply a coating of any type of oil or grease to prevent further rust. Any oil will work. We ensure parts are rust-free before shipping and are not responsible for rust that develops during shipping or after you receive it.

*The two columns you receive may be straight, not tapered as shown in the photo.

    Al-Spacer
    $34.75
This spacer is 4.5'' x 7.75'' and 1'' thick. Non magnetic Spacers are used in the press to lessen the amount of effort needed to extend the jack and activate the items being used in the press.
