This die is from the D.M. Watkins company and was made for the Worlds Columbia Exposition that took place in Chicago in 1893. The exposition was held to celebrate the 400th anniversary of Christopher Columbus’s voyage to America. This die was originally sold as a fundraiser for the Providence Jewelry Museum. This impression die is for use in making stampings with a hydraulic press. You will not receive the master hub pictured. You will receive an inverse impression with which you can make stampings.
